50th post!! (and a giveaway)

This is it guys!
This is my 50th post!

I am so excited to have made it to fifty posts and I wanted this one to be a little special.
So I have a question and an announcement.

First, I would love some input!
Are there any British people, books, movies, music, locations, or anything else that you would like me to talk about on Scones and Crackers?
Is there a book you have been wanting to read or movie you have wanted to see that you would like to hear a review of first?
Or have you found something you love and would enjoy talking about it with others?
I would love to know what you are really interested in and would like to hear about!
Let me know in the comments!

Second, I want to do something really special for my 100th post and we are now halfway there.
Between now and my 100th post every comment on this blog will get you an entry into a giveaway I will be doing on the 100th post.
I will announce the winner on that post and then you can email me your information so that I can send you a little something from the London Market.

I am so excited to see who will win!
Thank you for taking this journey with me so far.
I am excited for many more posts in the future!

Now I am going to go join these guys in doing a little happy dance.

Oooh, that sounds like a fun giveaway!
For things British, any of their PBS shows set in England would be great. I know you've already done some of them. "Poldark" starts this month and that would be a good one; it's getting great reviews already and was popular when it aired in England. I hope you'll also review "Paddington"--I think it's such a cute movie of a classic book that's set in London. It would be fun to post about some of the movie adaptations of Jane Austen and Charlotte Bronte's novels too. Also, maybe some of the different parts of England and London and various things to do and visit there.

Thank you for all the ideas! I am definitely planning on doing Paddington soon. I have been hearing a lot about Poldark. I will have to look into that one!

I don't know if I have any cool ideas. I do love British History if you ever want to steer away from pop culture a little bit. I love to study the Tudors. They fascinate me. If you want a kind of pop-culture-ish spin on them, The Other Boleyn Girl by Phillipa Gregory is a pretty interesting pop-lit spin on them. There is also a great movie called Amazing Grace about the abolition of slavery in England. It is about British abolitionist William Wilberforce and John Newton, who is the former slave trader who reformed and wrote Amazing Grace. Benedict Cumberbatch plays prime minister William Pitt. Right now I am up to my eyeballs in British poetry in my Brit Lit class, but I am not a huge fan of poetry so I won't throw any of it at you. Although, I am doing a 20 pages profile on William Blake and his Songs of Innocence and Experience are pretty fascinating.
