Remembrance

"We will remember them" - The Princess Royal today laid a wreath as she attended a Service of Remembrance at the National Memorial Arboretum. 97 years ago on the 'eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month' an armistice was signed between the allied nations and Germany to cease hostilities, effectively ending the First World War. Though a cause for celebration at the time, the day has become a reflective one when all those who have lost their lives serving their countries are remembered.
