This past week after we finished the book, I showed the girls the Goblet of Fire movie for the first time.
They really liked it.
I thought it might be a little dark (same worry as the book because of the death at the end and the whole Voldemort returning scene) but they were completely fine with it.
I think they did a pretty good job with this adaptation. Of course there were a lot of changes- the whole story line with Winky for one!
The biggest thing that I wish that they had left in is at the end of the book when Harry is in the hospital wing and everyone visits him. I love the part in the book when they have the confrontation with Fudge and then Dumbledore starts sending people on "missions".
Something really cute happened over the last week.
Abi really wanted to keep watching Harry Potter but since we aren't done with The Order of the Phoenix yet she couldn't move on to the next movie.
So, she started over again.
At this point she has watched the first four movies twice each!

Loved it too! The sad part for me was when Cedric was killed by Valdemort. I think it is awesome that Abi enjoys the books and movies so much.
